Organisers: IASIL Japan in collaboration with the Embassy of Ireland Japan
This event celebrates outstanding contributions to Irish literary studies in Japan, honouring the legacy of Ireland’s celebrated poet and Nobel laureate Seamus Heaney. The inaugural award was presented in 2022, recognizing the deepening cultural ties between the two nations.
We are delighted to announce that distinguished Irish poet Sinéad Morrissey has been selected as the recipient of the second Seamus Heaney Award, Sinéad will be in attendance as well and Christopher Heaney, Seamus Heaney’s son.
