Gala Event (hosted by the Embassy of Ireland, Japan)

The Gala Event will be hosted by the Embassy of Ireland, Japan, at the Ambassador’s Residence in Moto-Azabu Hills, Tokyo, from 18:00 on Thursday, the 8th August. It will be a buffet style reception, with drinks provided by the Embassy and Busker Whiskey. It is hot in Tokyo, so dress is smart casual. There will be a reading from Bashō and W. B Yeats by Andrew Fitzsimons and Nobuaki Tochigi, in Japanese and English, and guests can also see a slideshow of photos from ‘40 Years of IASIL Japan.’

A hired bus service from Gakushuin University will leave guests at a drop-off point ten-minute’s walk from the Residence. The bus will leave Gakushuin parking lot near the Main Gate at 17:00 sharp. For those guests returning to Mejiro, the return bus service leaves at 20:15 approx.

The event is open to the first 85 people who enroll.
